The tadpoles

Once we completed the frog bog, we waited for about a month and then a frog came and laid some frog spawn in our pond. We watched this turn into tadpoles. The tadpoles started to swim around our pond. Some of them now have back legs.

Building my frog bog

For my 11th birthday my parents bought me a black plastic pond for my frog bog.

This is the frog bog that I built. It took two to three days to build it into place and fill it with water.  You need to water around your pond, watering every half an hour, to settle it in properly. This way you make sure that it won't move or slide.

We filled it to within 2.5 cm from the top of the pond with water and then let it settle for a couple of days.

You will need plants that are native to your area and these will attract frogs and other water creatures.
